Purpose and function in the washer system

The described tank belongs to the Washer fluid tanks, pumps, and nozzles category and is responsible for storing operating fluid for the headlight washers in the Audi A4 B6 Cabriolet. The design is adapted to the geometry of the convertible body, which facilitates installation in factory mounting points and ensures proper routing of hoses and equipment. Original manufacturing guarantees:

• compatibility with the factory headlight washer system,
• proper connection of equipment (pumps, hoses, sensors – if present in the specific vehicle configuration),
• stable fluid retention without the risk of uncontrolled leaks resulting from shape mismatch.

Benefits of using an original tank

Using an original tank in an Audi allows you to maintain the integrity of the entire washer system. In practice, this means:

• secure fit to the body – no need for bracket modifications or custom mounting,
• preservation of the factory fluid hose routing,
• easier diagnostics and future service, as the system remains consistent with the manufacturer's documentation. A used OEM component is also a reasonable compromise between cost and quality – you maintain the original technical specification at a lower financial outlay than with a new part.

Condition, verification, and preparation for installation

The product is offered as a used part, which in practice means it has been removed from a vehicle and verified for further use. Before installation, standard service procedures are recommended, such as flushing the inside of the tank and inspecting the connectors and sockets for any mechanical damage. Thanks to the preservation of the original geometry, installation proceeds in a manner similar to the factory process – after fitting to the body brackets, it is possible to connect the existing washer system equipment without additional adaptations.

Technical support, selection, and ecology

When selecting a tank for a specific Audi A4 B6 Cabriolet configuration, it is worth using the manufacturer's markings and service documentation to maintain full compatibility with the headlight washer system. For users interested in a broader context of selection and diagnostics of fluid supply components in the vehicle, an article describing the principles of operation and servicing of supply systems may be helpful – you can find it here: Fuel system – injectors, pumps, and fuel tank: maintenance and regeneration. Choosing an original used part is also an environmentally friendly solution – it reduces the consumption of raw materials and energy needed to produce new components.
