Purpose and fitment

The cover has been designed specifically for the Toyota Celica T23 model, intended for the front right door. Thanks to its factory profile, it fits the door panel precisely, which minimizes the risk of unwanted looseness, vibrations, or resonance around the speaker. The component belongs to the Cladding, decorative strips, and trim group, therefore it serves both a protective and aesthetic function, organizing the space around the speaker.

Protective and acoustic function

The speaker cover stabilizes the transducer mounting area, limiting the possibility of accidental damage to the diaphragm and dirt entering the speaker interior. The dark grey surface is visually neutral, allowing it to blend well with the factory door upholstery color scheme. A properly installed cover helps maintain orderly airflow around the speaker, which promotes consistent operating conditions for the audio system.

Visual characteristics and installation

The element has a discreet, subdued look that does not distract from other interior details, while simultaneously clearly organizing the space around the speaker. The dark grey finish facilitates integration with various upholstery variants, which is particularly important during post-accident repairs or when replacing individual door components. The cover is intended for installation in a specific location on the vehicle, which simplifies the installation process and limits the need for additional modifications.

Condition and use in repairs

The product is offered as a used original component, which allows for maintaining consistency with the factory interior finish standard of the Toyota. Such components are often chosen during door repairs after collisions, upholstery replacement, or when completing missing details after previous modifications. Using an original speaker cover helps avoid fitment issues typical of aftermarket parts with universal dimensions.

Technical knowledge and selection of used elements

When sourcing used interior components, it is worth knowing good practices for selecting parts from dismantling, especially when you are simultaneously carrying out other repairs on the vehicle, e.g., in the fuel system. Helpful tips on the safe selection of elements such as injection pumps or fuel rails can be found in the article Fuel dosing problems: what to look for when buying a used injection pump and fuel rails?. Additional information on how to effectively plan body and interior repairs using parts from dismantling, including door panels and decorative covers, can also be found in the guide Bodywork and exterior – post-accident repairs using parts from dismantling, which discusses practical examples of using original used components.
