Purpose and function of the component

The rear seat backrest joint trim covering panel is designed as part of the seat assembly system in BMW F07 series models. Its task is to mask the moving structural elements of the backrest so that they remain invisible to passengers while being protected from dirt and accidental contact. Its location in the rear zone of the cabin means that this element influences the perception of the entire interior quality – especially in premium class vehicles, where visual consistency and refined details are essential for both user comfort and the vehicle's value.

Color scheme and interior matching

The cover is finished in black, which facilitates integration with typical BMW upholstery configurations – both fabric and leather. The dark color helps maintain an aesthetic appearance during daily use by reducing the visibility of minor dirt and scratches. The element is intended for installation in the rear part of the vehicle, allowing for the preservation of the factory character of the passenger cabin. The properly selected shape and mounting method ensure correct fitment with the seat backrest and other seat assembly components.

Operational characteristics and installation

As a part from the Seat covers category, the panel serves a protective and masking function, working in conjunction with other seat trim elements. The design provided by the vehicle manufacturer allows for installation in the factory location without the need to modify the backrest structure. The product is in used condition, meaning it has been removed from a vehicle but retains the functionality required for further use. This is a solution that allows for economical repair or replacement of a missing element while maintaining the original manufacturing standard characteristic of the BMW brand.

Benefits of using an original cover

• Consistent interior look – matching the factory design of the rear seat backrest.
• Protection of the backrest joint against accidental contact and dirt.
• Maintaining the original BMW vehicle specification without interfering with the seat structure.
• Economical solution for repairs and replacing missing upholstery elements.
