Purpose and function of the component

The presented handle integrated with the number plate light is dedicated to the tailgate of the Jaguar XF X250 model. The component is responsible for the stable mounting of the number plate, routing the electrical wiring for the lighting, and providing an aesthetic seal for the lower edge of the tailgate. Thanks to the factory design, the correct mounting geometry and proper positioning of the attachment points are maintained. The original form of the handle allows for the preservation of the characteristic lines of the rear part of the Jaguar body, without the need for modifications or fitting aftermarket replacements. This is particularly important for accident repairs or restoring the vehicle to its factory specification.

Color and visual fit

The color Stratus Grey - 2127 is a factory shade used in the Jaguar paint palette, which makes it easy to match the component to the existing body finish. For vehicles in the same color, this allows for reducing or completely eliminating the need for additional painting, and for other shades, it provides a solid base for surface preparation for painting. Precise fitting with the tailgate line and adjacent body components minimizes the risk of leaks, unwanted gaps, or vibrations. As a result, an orderly appearance of the rear of the vehicle is maintained, and the number plate lighting remains properly seated relative to its plane.

Installation characteristics

As a component sourced from the dismantling of an original Jaguar vehicle, the handle is designed for installation at factory mounting points without the need for adaptation. The holes, clips, and cable routings are consistent with the design of the XF X250 tailgate, which facilitates workshop work and shortens repair time. In practice, this means the ability to use standard service procedures: removing the damaged handle, transferring or connecting the lighting installation, and installing the component into existing sockets. Such a solution promotes the maintenance of the structural integrity of the tailgate and the correct operation of the number plate lighting.

Use in repairs and restoration

This handle with number plate light is suitable for both accident repairs and body restoration when the existing component is mechanically damaged, corroded, or incomplete. Choosing an original component allows you to maintain visual and technical consistency with the other body elements of the Jaguar. If you are planning a comprehensive repair or upgrade of the rear body area of your Jaguar and need other components from the same group, such as handles, covers, or finishing details, check the available parts in the Other Jaguar category.

Support in selecting parts

To precisely verify the compatibility of the component with a specific equipment version and year of your car, it is worth using the OEM number or interchangeable numbers assigned to this handle. Practical tips on using such markings can be found in the guide how to choose the right car part by VIN and OEM number, which describes the compatibility verification process step by step.
