Purpose and fitment for Audi A3 8P

The presented mirror has been designed specifically for the Audi A3 8P generation, taking into account the dimensions, housing shape, and mounting geometry characteristic of this body style. Its placement on the right side of the vehicle ensures the correct field of view and compatibility with factory mounting points, which facilitates service and reduces replacement time. The original construction from the Exterior Mirrors group ensures compatibility with the car's electrical system and the proper operation of all intended functions, without the need for wiring modifications or additional adapters.

Electric functions and auto-dim

The mirror is equipped with electric control, which allows for convenient adjustment of the glass position from inside the vehicle. The integrated auto-dimming function is responsible for automatically darkening the mirror surface when blinded by the lights of vehicles behind, which improves driving safety after dark and reduces driver eye fatigue. Such a combination of electric and photochromic functions is particularly beneficial in city traffic and on expressways, where frequent changes in light intensity require a quick and smooth response from the mirror system.

Exterior appearance and Ice Silver Metallic color

The mirror housing is finished in the Ice Silver Metallic – X7W shade, characteristic of the Audi paint palette. As a result, the component harmoniously blends into the body line, maintaining color consistency with the vehicle's factory paint and reducing the need for additional painting when replacing a damaged mirror. The metallic coating gives the mirror an aesthetic, modern look, while also effectively masking minor operational dirt, which is practical for everyday use.

Condition, origin, and benefits of installation

The component comes from dismantling and is offered as a used Audi exterior mirror, which allows for combining reasonable repair costs with the preservation of original build quality. This type of part is a good choice for post-accident repairs, replacing a damaged mirror, or restoring the car to a condition close to factory specifications. Choosing an original mirror from the same model series minimizes the risk of fitment issues, mounting gaps, or incorrect operation of the adjustment mechanism, which translates into stable glass positioning and predictable behavior while driving.
