Purpose and function in the vehicle

This roof lighting panel is a component mounted in the front part of the cabin, in the central area of the headliner. It is responsible for operating the interior lighting in the driver and passenger area and integrates a practical sunglasses storage compartment, which improves the ergonomics of daily vehicle use. This solution is particularly beneficial for drivers who expect an organized cabin space and want to maintain the original, consistent look of the Audi A4 B8 or Audi A5 8T interior without using universal accessories.

Construction and functional features

The panel combines a lighting module and an integrated sunglasses storage compartment in one housing, which reduces the number of separate elements in the headliner. The design is intended to work with the factory electrical installation, ensuring that the correct interior lighting logic is maintained, including operation in conjunction with door opening or manual light activation. Key advantages of this component include:

• factory fit for the headliner of Audi A4 B8 and Audi A5 8T models,
• integration of lighting and a sunglasses storage compartment in one module,
• preservation of consistent interior aesthetics in line with the manufacturer's design,
• easy access to lighting control buttons in the driver and passenger area.

Benefits of using an original interior lighting panel

Using an original panel from the Interior Lighting group allows you to avoid problems typical of replacements, such as inaccurate fitment or differences in material shades. The component is designed specifically for the geometry of the Audi roof and headliner, which translates into stable mounting and the absence of unwanted play or noises while driving. Replacing a worn or damaged panel with an original module with a sunglasses holder restores full functionality of the interior lighting while improving the comfort of storing small accessories. It is a practical solution for users who want to keep the interior in a condition close to factory-new, without interfering with the electrical installation.

Using a used part in Audi service

As a used component, the roof lighting panel represents a reasonable compromise between cost and maintaining the original manufacturer's specification. In many cases, it is an effective solution for post-accident repairs, replacing a damaged headliner, or restoring full lighting functionality in older Audi A4 B8 and A5 8T vehicles. Choosing an original module from dismantling allows you to maintain consistency with factory equipment, which is important both for user comfort and for the future resale of the vehicle.
