Purpose and function of the fuel filler flap

The described flap is an item from the Fuel filler covers and accessories group, responsible for protecting the fuel filler from contaminants and weather conditions. A properly selected cover reduces the risk of dirt and moisture entering the area around the fuel cap, which promotes trouble-free operation of the fuel system. The design intended for the Ford Fiesta Mk7 allows for installation in the factory location without the need for body modifications.

Spirit Blue Metallic - L1 color and visual matching

The Spirit Blue Metallic - L1 color is a distinctive metallic shade used in original Ford paints, which allows for a consistent vehicle appearance after repair. Using a flap in the same color code minimizes the need for additional painting and makes it easier to achieve a uniform transition between body panels. This is particularly important for aesthetic repairs where color and paint structure consistency are essential.

Original origin and identification parameters

The product comes from the Ford OE line, meaning it was designed according to the vehicle manufacturer's requirements. The flap has a dedicated OEM part number and associated replacement numbers, allowing it to be precisely verified for compatibility with a specific equipment version and model year. The presence of these markings facilitates the selection of the correct component when comparing several variants of fuel filler covers.

Used condition and practical application

The offered fuel filler flap is a used item, which is a cost-effective solution for economical body repair. Choosing an original part from dismantling allows for maintaining the factory fit of the shape, mounts, and geometry relative to the fender and the opening mechanism. It is a good solution both for local post-collision repairs and for replacing a component due to wear and tear.
