Purpose and fitment for BMW X5 E70 / X6 E71

The presented trim strip is designed specifically for BMW X5 E70 and BMW X6 E71 models as a left-side centre console component. Thanks to its factory-spec mounting geometry and correct profile, it fits the shape of the centre tunnel, ensuring proper alignment with adjacent panels and other interior trims. The left-side placement allows for the precise restoration of the original layout of elements in the driver's zone, which is essential both for post-accident repairs and for replacing worn or scratched trims.

Piano Black finish and colour scheme

The trim is finished in an elegant, glossy Piano Black shade. This type of surface blends well with other black cockpit elements, creating a cohesive, modern interior look. The dark colour contributes to the visual tidiness of the centre console while highlighting the characteristic BMW design line. The uniform colour scheme facilitates integration with factory trims and other elements from the Trims, decorative strips and decorations group, which is particularly important when performing partial interior trim replacements.

Installation characteristics and application

The centre console trim is intended for installation in factory mounting points without the need for structural modifications. The properly selected shape and profile facilitate seating the component in the guides and integrating it with adjacent panels, which translates into stability and the absence of unwanted play after installation. The component is suitable both for replacing a damaged trim and for visually refreshing the cockpit when the existing finish shows signs of wear. By maintaining the original form, it is the right choice for users who want to preserve the factory character of the BMW interior.

Benefits of using an original decorative trim

Using an original left-side centre console trim allows for maintaining the stylistic consistency and ergonomics of the cockpit. Precise fitment to the shape of the dashboard and centre tunnel reduces the risk of creaking and tension that may occur with components of incorrect geometry. Choosing this type of trim is beneficial for professional interior repairs where compliance with factory specifications is important, as well as when preparing a vehicle for sale, where the aesthetics of the centre console have a direct impact on the perception of the entire interior.
