Purpose and installation compatibility

The presented woofer was developed as a factory door speaker for the Jaguar X-Type X400 generation. The design is intended for installation in the front and rear doors, on both the driver and passenger sides, which facilitates the selection of the component when replacing a damaged speaker in any position on the vehicle. Using an original component allows for maintaining factory acoustic parameters and proper fitment with the mounting points in the door panel.

Technical characteristics of the woofer

The speaker acts as a door woofer responsible for reproducing low and mid-range frequencies in the Jaguar X-Type audio system. The applied design of the basket, diaphragm, and magnetic circuit is adapted for operation in the door cavity, which limits unwanted resonances and supports stable, predictable sound. The original connector and the spacing of the mounting points allow for installation without interfering with the electrical system or the door structure.

Service application and benefits of choosing an original part

This door woofer is suitable for replacing a factory speaker after mechanical damage, water ingress, or operational wear. Choosing an original component from dismantling allows you to:

• maintain acoustic consistency with the other speakers in the vehicle,
• avoid problems with matching dimensions and mounts,
• reduce installation time thanks to factory connectors,
• maintain operating characteristics in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. The product comes from the Linings, decorative strips, and trims segment, which in practice means it is an interior equipment element related to door construction, integrating with factory panels and grilles.

Condition of the element and practical aspects

The offered woofer is a used item, which makes it an attractive cost-effective solution while maintaining the manufacturer's original specifications. Such components are often chosen for vehicle repairs where the priority is to restore the proper operation of the audio system without the need to invest in a full set of new speakers. Using a factory door speaker helps maintain uniform sound throughout the vehicle's interior and reduces the risk of incompatibility with the factory amplifier or head unit.

Modernization expansion and additional information

If you are planning a comprehensive repair or modernization of the door area in your Jaguar and need other elements from the same group, such as grilles, finishing strips, or decorative door panels, check the available parts in the Jaguar Linings, decorative strips, and trims category. When selecting components from dismantling – both interior elements and technical sub-assemblies – it is worth following proven principles for assessing the condition and origin of parts. Practical tips on the safe selection of used elements from the fuel supply system can be found in the article Fuel dosing problems: what to look for when buying a used injection pump and fuel rails?, which shows how to consciously approach the purchase of used sub-assemblies.
