Purpose and compatibility with BMW E90 / E91 LCI

The presented item is a left, exterior mirror part designed for BMW 3 Series E90 and E91 models after the facelift (LCI). The construction was developed to maintain factory ergonomics, the correct curvature of the glass, and the appropriate viewing angle, which facilitates maneuvering and changing lanes. The original origin of the component helps maintain a consistent body style and proper cooperation with the factory adjustment mechanism and the electrical system responsible for heating.

Heating function and user comfort

The built-in mirror heating function supports maintaining image clarity in rain, snow, and fog conditions. Once the rear window heating system or the appropriate vehicle circuit is activated, the mirror surface is heated evenly, which reduces fogging and ice accumulation. This solution translates into:

• better visibility in urban traffic and on the road,
• shorter vehicle preparation time for driving in low temperatures,
• greater comfort and less driver fatigue when driving in difficult conditions.

Spacegrau Metallic A52 color and body aesthetics

The mirror is finished in Spacegrau Metallic A52, characteristic of many BMW 3 Series vehicles of this generation. Thanks to this, the element harmoniously fits into the body line without the need for additional painting, provided the vehicle has the same paint code. Choosing the right color allows for maintaining a consistent look of the car after repair, which is important both from the point of view of aesthetics and the potential value of the vehicle on the secondary market.

Characteristics of the used element

The offered component comes from the Exterior mirrors category and is a used part, which in practice means a real compromise between the cost of repair and maintaining the original build quality. A used OEM element usually fits better into the existing body structure than replacements of uncertain origin. Choosing an original, used mirror is a solution that allows you to reduce costs while maintaining factory fitment and compatibility with the door structure and the vehicle's electrical system.

Why it is worth choosing original body components

Using original body components, such as mirrors, windows, or other exterior elements, is important for the safety, aerodynamics, and acoustics of the vehicle. In case of doubts about when it is better to choose a used OEM element instead of a new replacement, the following article may be helpful: Spider crack on the glass? Why it is better to choose a used original with the manufacturer's logo when replacing. The principles of selection and installation described there well illustrate the advantages of original parts also in the context of other body elements.
