Purpose and fitment for Volkswagen Golf Mk7

The presented mirror has been designed specifically for the Golf Mk7 generation, taking into account the door geometry, pillar shape, and factory mounting points. Its placement on the left side of the vehicle ensures the correct field of view for the driver and compatibility with factory mirror position settings. Thanks to the OEM design, key parameters such as the mirror tilt angle, housing profile, and aerodynamics are maintained, which reduces wind noise and supports acoustic comfort inside the vehicle.

Atlantic Blue Metallic – C5B color and body aesthetics

The Atlantic Blue Metallic – C5B paint is a distinctive metallic shade used by the factory in Volkswagen models. Using the original color on the mirror housing allows for a visually cohesive match with other body elements, without the need for additional painting when the color is correctly matched. The metallic coating promotes uniform light dispersion, which improves the vehicle's visual appeal and makes it easier to maintain an aesthetic look after repairing the side zone of the body.

Safety function and user comfort

The driver's side exterior mirror is one of the fundamental elements of the vehicle's visibility system. A correctly selected and installed mirror:

• ensures an adequate field of observation for the side and rear zones,
• reduces blind spots during typical road maneuvers,
• supports safe lane changes and parking. By maintaining the factory geometry of the housing and the mirror glass, the driver receives a predictable representation of the surroundings, known from the original configuration, which translates into stable driving habits.

Characteristics of the used component

As a used component, the mirror is a cost-effective solution while maintaining the manufacturer's original specifications. This type of component is particularly attractive for post-accident repairs, where the priority is to combine technical correctness with a rational service budget. Choosing an original mirror from the secondary market allows for reducing the risk of installation problems typical of aftermarket replacements and facilitates visual matching to the vehicle's existing paintwork.
