Purpose and function of the component

The described trim strip is part of the Dashboard category and is responsible for the aesthetic finish of the left side of the cockpit in the BMW F07 GT. Mounted in factory mounting points, it constitutes an integral part of the front panel, masking the structural elements of the dashboard and harmoniously connecting with other interior trims. Thanks to its precise fit for the specific body model, the trim maintains the stylistic line characteristic of BMW, which is particularly important when replacing parts after a collision, mechanical damage, or during interior restoration.

Construction and Fineline Wood finish

The dashboard trim strip in the Fineline Wood version has been designed as a decorative element with a subdued, elegant character. The surface structure replicates a wood pattern, which emphasizes the premium character of the cabin and blends well with other equipment elements of the BMW F07 GT. The original construction ensures:

• color and texture consistency with other Fineline Wood trims in the vehicle,
• stable mounting in the factory dashboard brackets,
• aesthetic transition between adjacent cockpit panels.

Vehicle placement and fitment

The component is intended for installation on the left side of the dashboard, which is important both when selecting the part and when planning assembly work. Proper placement guarantees correct fitment with adjacent components and the absence of stresses that could cause squeaking or loosening of the element during operation. As an original BMW part, the trim retains its factory geometry, which facilitates installation and minimizes the risk of fitment issues regarding airbags, control panels, or air vents located within the dashboard area.

Characteristics of the used product

The offered trim is a used component, which in practice means it comes from vehicle dismantling and may show signs of normal wear. This type of part is a good choice for repairs where maintaining the original interior look while optimizing costs is key. A used OEM element allows for maintaining material and color consistency with the remaining parts of the cockpit.

Selection support and additional resources

When selecting interior trims for a specific version of the BMW F07 GT, it is worth paying attention to compatibility with equipment and the mounting side. In case of doubt, it may be helpful to compare the shape and mounting points with the currently installed element or consult a technical advisor. If you want to organize the verification process for compatibility by OEM number or other manufacturer markings, use the practical tips contained in the article Guide: how to choose the right car part by VIN and OEM number, where you will find a step-by-step action plan and a list of questions helpful when purchasing used components. If you are planning a comprehensive repair or upgrade of the cockpit area in your BMW and need other elements from the same group, such as additional decorative strips, masking panels, or trims around the console, check the available parts in the BMW Dashboards category.
