Purpose and fitment

The presented glass belongs to the Car Windows category and is dedicated to the rear, right side of the Toyota Corolla E12 body. Its placement on the passenger side in the rear zone of the vehicle guarantees proper fitment with the window frame, seals, and trim strips. The original AS2 glass ensures compliance with the manufacturer's factory standards regarding thickness, curvature, and mounting method.

Technical characteristics of AS2 glass

Glass marked with the AS2 class meets rigorous requirements regarding light transmission, resistance to mechanical damage, and passive safety. In practice, this means:

• controlled light transmission, suitable for rear side windows,
• increased resistance to scratches and typical operational loads,
• safe breakage characteristics, limiting the risk of sharp edges. As a result, the glass performs well both in daily operation and after body repairs, where maintaining proper body rigidity and tightness is crucial.

Application in body repairs

The Toyota Corolla E12 Rear Quarter Window Glass Glazing AS2 Right O/S is worth considering for:

• repairs after collisions involving the rear right fender or pillar,
• replacing damaged or shattered glazing,
• restoring the factory appearance of the window line after bodywork interventions. Properly selected glass helps maintain the correct body geometry, reduces wind noise, and supports the proper operation of seals and finishing elements. This is particularly important during long-term operation, where stability and repeatability of parameters count.

Selection by OEM number and compatibility verification

When selecting a rear right window for a specific version of the Corolla E12, it is worth paying attention to the manufacturer's markings and compliance with the vehicle documentation. The OEM number and interchangeable numbers assigned to this reference can be helpful, making it easier to match the glass to a specific body configuration. To minimize the risk of error, it is worth using the practical tips described in the article Guide: how to choose the right car part by VIN and OEM number, where the process of verifying used components is discussed step by step.

Benefits of choosing an original used window

An original side window from dismantling is a solution that allows you to maintain factory glazing parameters while reducing repair costs. The main advantages of such a choice include:

• factory fitment to the window frame and body line,
• preservation of the original optical characteristics of the glass,
• visual consistency with other windows in the vehicle. In case of a dilemma between refurbishment and installing a used component, it is worth reading the analysis in the article Refurbished or original used – which part to choose for repair?, where practical aspects of choosing parts from dismantling are discussed. If you are planning a comprehensive repair or modernization of the side glazing zone in your Toyota and need other components from the same group, such as windshields, side windows, or rear windows, check the available parts in the Toyota Car Windows category.
