Purpose and fitment

The presented armrest has been designed specifically for the Volkswagen Passat B6 model and is mounted in the front part of the centre console. This ensures proper fitment to factory mounting points, correct hinge geometry, and compatibility with original centre tunnel components. Such a solution facilitates installation and allows for maintaining the factory character of the interior without the need for modifications.

Construction and upholstery material

The armrest construction is based on a solid centre console body with a padded, soft top panel. The black fabric used blends well with typical Volkswagen Passat B6 interior configurations, providing a subdued, practical look. The textile finish reduces hand slippage and improves comfort during long drives.

Function and user comfort

The centre console armrest significantly improves the ergonomics of the driver's and front passenger's seating area. Stable forearm support relieves the shoulders and wrists, which is particularly noticeable on long trips and in city traffic. This element also serves as a practical addition to the central part of the cabin, organizing the space around the gear shift lever and parking brake controls.

Characteristics of the used component

The armrest comes from disassembly, making it an economical alternative to a new component while maintaining the manufacturer's original specifications. A used part allows for reducing the costs of interior repair or refurbishment while maintaining consistency in materials and colour with other parts of the cabin.

Selection of used interior components and maintenance

When choosing a used armrest, it is worth paying attention to the compatibility of the equipment version and the type of upholstery finish to avoid visual differences in the cabin. It is also good practice to check the opening and locking mechanism so that the component operates smoothly after installation.
