Purpose and function of the cover set

The rear lateral belt cover set has been designed specifically for the BMW E92 Coupe model, taking into account the geometry of the rear seat and seat belt routing. These elements are responsible for the aesthetic covering of the belt mechanisms and mounts, while simultaneously ensuring their stable guidance within the side upholstery area. The set includes the left and right sides in the rear part of the vehicle, which facilitates the simultaneous replacement of both covers and maintains full visual symmetry. This allows for an orderly restoration of the entire side zone of the rear seat without differences in shade or texture between the sides.

Appearance, color scheme, and interior integration

The covers are made in a black color, matched to typical BMW E92 Coupe interior configurations. This color scheme integrates well with both dark fabric and leather upholstery, creating a cohesive, visually neutral area around the seat belts. The chrome decorative accent emphasizes the character of BMW equipment, adding a subtle, more dynamic look to the interior. The use of original mounting geometry allows for precise fitting with BMW Door Upholstery and other side panel elements, without the need for modifications or on-site adjustments.

Installation and technical aspects

The covers are adapted for installation in factory mounting points in the rear part of the body, on the right and left sides. The design provides for belt routing in a way that ensures smooth extension and retraction, while protecting the mechanism against accidental mechanical damage. With proper installation, you achieve:

• stable belt guidance in the side part of the rear seat,
• aesthetic covering of structural elements,
• cohesive connection with adjacent upholstery panels. The elements come from disassembly, which means they are original BMW components, maintaining the correct fit to the body and interior of the specific E92 Coupe generation.

Use in repairs and interior restoration

The rear lateral belt cover set will work well for both post-accident repairs and the restoration of a worn interior. Replacing the set on both sides allows for restoring the factory look of the rear seat zone, especially where previous damage affected the side panels or belt mounts. If you are planning a comprehensive repair or upgrade of the side interior zone in your BMW and need other elements from the same group, such as side panels, decorative inserts, or mounting grilles, check the available parts in the BMW Door Upholstery category. When planning broader bodywork and paint repairs or restoring the interior after a collision, it is also worth checking the guide on selecting body elements and cabin equipment from disassembly – you will find practical tips in the article Bodywork and chassis – post-accident repairs using parts from disassembly.
