Purpose and dashboard fitment

The presented panel belongs to the Dashboards category and is structurally matched to the factory cockpit of the BMW 5 Series E60/E61 generation. Integrating the air vent with the panel and decorative trim allows for maintaining a uniform stylistic line, with no differences in shape or geometry compared to other interior elements. The placement on the right side of the vehicle ensures proper fitment with adjacent dashboard components and correct positioning relative to the air ducts.

Construction and function of the air vent

The fresh air grille in this panel is responsible for directing the airflow from the ventilation and air conditioning system in the upper part of the dashboard. The louver design allows for smooth adjustment of the airflow direction both vertically and horizontally, which improves thermal comfort in the cabin. The use of an integrated panel with a wood trim reduces the number of connections and potential play, which translates into stable seating in the dashboard and reduces unwanted noises while driving.

Visual characteristics and ergonomics

The decorative wood trim gives the interior a characteristic, elegant look typical of higher BMW equipment versions. Thanks to this element, the cockpit maintains stylistic consistency, and the transition between the air vent and the remaining parts of the dashboard is visually uniform. Ergonomically placed louver controls allow for convenient operation from the driver's or passenger's seat without the need to take eyes off the road for longer than necessary, which is important for safety and comfort of use.

Component condition and service application

The panel comes from original BMW production, which means maintaining factory mounting parameters and compatibility with the dashboard structure. As a used component, it is particularly useful for post-accident repairs, replacing a damaged air vent, or restoring the completeness of the interior after dismantling other sub-assemblies. Choosing an original panel with an air vent allows you to avoid fitment problems typical of replacements with different geometry or build quality.

Selection support and additional information

The selection of the correct dashboard panel with an air vent should always be based on the manufacturer's catalog numbers and an accurate determination of the mounting side in the vehicle.
