Purpose and function in the Dashboard system

The armrest lid is an integral part of the centre console zone within the Dashboard, responsible for providing comfortable support for the driver's and passenger's arms and serving as an aesthetic cover for the centre tunnel storage compartment. Designed as an original Ford equipment part, it ensures a proper fit to the console structure without the need for modifications to mounts or interference with the interior structure. The black leather finish maintains consistency with factory upholstery, and the carefully selected shape of the lid supports an ergonomic forearm position during both long-distance and city driving. This is a practical solution for users who want to visually refresh the central part of the cockpit without changing its original character.

Construction, material, and ergonomics of use

The armrest lid has been manufactured with long-term daily use in mind. The outer layer of black leather provides a pleasant-to-touch, stable support point while being easy to keep clean. The lid's construction is adapted to the standard hinges and the opening mechanism of the centre console storage, which facilitates installation and subsequent operation. The profile of the lid has been selected to allow for comfortable arm support at various seat settings and driving positions. This helps the driver reduce wrist and forearm fatigue during longer trips, while the vehicle's interior gains an organized, visually consistent appearance. The leather finish further enhances the perceived quality of the cabin, especially when combined with other leather-upholstered elements.

Product characteristics and fit for Ford

As an element from the Dashboard group, the armrest lid is designed for specific structural solutions used in the Ford Mondeo Mk5. The appropriate dimensions, shape, and mounting method allow for the preservation of factory gaps and parting lines within the centre console, which is important for both aesthetic and functional reasons. Proper fitment reduces the risk of rattles and unwanted noises while driving. The product comes from the Ford brand and is an original equipment component, which helps maintain compatibility with other interior parts. This is particularly important for users who want to avoid installation problems typical of aftermarket replacements and who care about keeping the vehicle in a configuration close to the factory standard.

Condition, service application, and benefits of replacement

The item is offered in used condition, which allows for an economical replacement of a worn or damaged lid while maintaining the manufacturer's original specifications. This type of part is suitable both for standard interior repairs after wear and tear, and for work related to refreshing the cabin after minor mechanical damage or signs of intensive use. Replacing the armrest lid with an original component allows you to:

• restore the cohesive look of the centre console without interfering with the Dashboard structure,
• maintain ergonomic arm support while driving,
• keep the vehicle's interior in a standard consistent with original Ford equipment.
