Purpose and compatibility

The presented glass is dedicated to the third-generation Volkswagen Scirocco in a 3-door version, for the passenger side. The design was developed for this specific body type, ensuring that the edge line, bending radii, and seating in the door frame meet the manufacturer's factory requirements. The AS2 glass type marking indicates the use of tempered side glass with appropriate light transmittance, compliant with safety standards for side windows in passenger vehicles.

Performance parameters and role in the vehicle

The passenger side door glass is responsible for:

• ensuring proper side visibility for the driver and passenger,
• working with the window lifting and lowering mechanism,
• sealing the interior against water, wind, and noise,
• maintaining the proper lateral rigidity of the door zone. Thanks to the factory profile, the glass works correctly with door seals, the exterior mirror, and the body frame, which reduces air turbulence and improves acoustic comfort inside the vehicle.

Condition of the component and benefits of choosing a used part

The offered glass is a used component, which allows you to combine cost savings with maintaining the original manufacturer's specifications. In practice, this means:

• factory fitment to the door and lifting mechanism,
• preservation of the original glass geometry,
• no need for modifications to mounts or guides. Choosing an original used glass is particularly beneficial for post-accident repairs or replacement after mechanical damage, when you want to maintain a consistent side body line and the correct operation of the entire door assembly.

How to ensure the glass is compatible with your car

Before purchasing, it is worth comparing the markings on your current glass and verifying the year and body version of the vehicle. It is also helpful to check compatibility using catalog and interchangeable numbers – this helps avoid problems with installation and component fitment.
