Purpose and function of the component

The described air duct cover is a body part from the Tailgates and rear group, mounted on the right side of the Mini Cooper R52 Cabrio model. Its task is to cover the air duct and organize the airflow in the rear zone of the body, which affects user comfort and the proper operation of the ventilation system within the trunk and the rear part of the cabin. The element was designed as an OEM component, which means maintaining factory geometry, mounting points, and compatibility with original fasteners and adjacent body panels. As a result, once properly installed, the cover creates a cohesive surface with the tailgate and other rear vehicle elements.

Color and visual fit

The factory Lightning Blue Metallic - A63 color allows for maintaining a uniform body style without the need for additional painting, provided that the other elements are in the same shade. The metallic paint coating has been selected for the characteristic Mini color palette, which makes it easier to maintain a consistent look for the entire convertible. The cover is intended for installation on the right side of the vehicle, so when selecting the part, it is worth paying attention to the placement on the vehicle to avoid problems with installation and fitting with the tailgate and adjacent panels.

Installation characteristics

As a body category element, the air duct cover is designed for installation in the existing mounting points of the Mini Cooper R52 Cabrio. Maintaining the original geometry facilitates service work and allows for:

• correct positioning relative to the tailgate and the rear panel,
• stable mounting without additional modifications,
• maintaining tightness and proper airflow guidance. Such body elements are often chosen for post-accident repairs or point visual corrections when only one side of the vehicle is damaged.

Condition and practical application

The air duct cover is offered as a used part, which allows for an economical repair of the rear body zone while maintaining the original origin of the component. For many Mini users, it is important that using an OEM element from the secondary market allows for maintaining the factory character of the car at reasonable service costs. The product will work well both when replacing a damaged cover after a collision and during gradual body restoration, when the priority is maintaining color consistency and proper operation of the air duct in the rear part of the vehicle. If you are planning a comprehensive repair or modernization of the rear body zone in your Mini and need other elements from the same group, such as additional panels, covers, or complementary rear body components, check the available parts in the Mini Tailgates and rear category.
